Design
Inspiration

Inspired by rail operator KTMB’s logo, the train features a bold, contemporary exterior with clean geometric styling that projects strength and confidence. The interior incorporates Malaysian architectural and cultural elements, complemented by a calming blue colour palette to create a comfortable and welcoming passenger environment.

Key Features

Delivers approximately 20% higher traction performance and around 10% greater passenger capacity than conventional metre-gauge EMUs. Supports multiple-unit operation of up to four trainsets to enhance operational flexibility and network capacity.

Equipped with emergency side evacuation devices, an anti-collision protection system to reduce damage from animal strikes, and lithium titanate (LTO) batteries with an active fire suppression system for enhanced operational safety.

Operates on AC 25 kV overhead catenary while utilising its onboard battery for low-speed operation over short non-electrified sections, enabling more flexible deployment across different railway networks.

Features an optimised VAC system for uniform temperature distribution throughout the train. Passenger seats are equipped with USB and USB-C charging ports for added convenience.
